Greenslades Grounds Maintenance
Welcome to our website

Our business of Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping was established in 1994 with one aim in mind. This aim was to provide a high quality professional service to our clients by our own experienced, trained and courteous staff. We are pleased to say that we still have this as our focus today.

Greenslades Maintenance Team   Whatever project we undertake we see it through from start to finish in close liaison with the client. We carry out risk assessments prior to commencement of any works ensuring our staff safety and that of the site they are working on. Our staff are supported by our management team who monitor the standard, progress and completion of all works. They also oversee our Health and Safety systems and deliver certificated in house and external vocational training.

We are based in the in Somerset close to Bridgwater and Taunton overlooking the Quantock hills. Please spend a little time looking at our website especially if your interests are in commercial landscaping, grounds maintenance, health and safety and horticultural training.

All our contracts are dealt with on an individual basis from design to aftercare including computer aided design projects, written quotations and a complete risk assessment before any project is carried out. Once the project is completed to the satisfaction of the client we can if required, compile a maintenance plan. The maintenance plan will include works to be carried out, and could include such items as tree pruning, grass cutting, lawn maintenance, a weed eradication plan and watering schedules.

Part of a very large project in Bridgwater, which included planted car parking areas, entrances to office accommodation and an atrium. The picture above is showing a raised bed with two heavy standard silver birch trees surrounded by box hedging. A stainless steel water feature was installed between the trees and under planted with Ophiopogon planiscapus Nigrescens.

Landscaped areas on a new build of a leading supermarket chain. Some 2,000 plants were used in this project, mainly for ground cover purposes. The area was first cleared of rubbish and debris, new supply of good quality topsoil was applied before the plants were planted through a weed suppressing membrane. The area was then finished with a dressing of bark mulch.

shrub bed refurbishment   This project was a shrub bed refurbishment at a local prestigious golf club where we were able to keep some of the original planting and replace some of the older tired planting. The client also wanted a small water feature located on the bed just for a little movement and relaxation.

Landscaped garden   This project was seen through from start to finish. We only had access to the garden via a small corridor where all materials had to be brought through. The paths on each side of the garden were laid with individual cobbles and bedded in cement. Two colour pebbles were used to give a diamond shape effect. The bespoke water feature was made specifically for this project which consisted of a shallow stainless steel trough with a coping of hand cut slate.
